Project Description

Temp Air Company completed the full mechanical and plumbing build-out of a state-of-the-art medical laboratory facility for the University of Maryland on Level 4 of the Wexford 4MLK Building. The project featured the installation of 105 Daikin indoor and outdoor VRF units and two DOAS units to condition a vivarium space. A high-purity RODI water system was installed to support owner-provided autoclave and washer equipment, along with individual RODI systems for laboratory sinks.

The scope also included variable air volume systems, fume hood exhaust systems, vacuum and air compressor systems, and associated turrets and components to support laboratory functions. The plumbing installation encompassed chilled water, hot water, DWV, acid waste and vent piping, and a full fixture package including emergency eyewash stations and safety showers.

All systems underwent thorough testing, start-up, and commissioning in accordance with project specifications.
